1. Overview

NoteSnap GPS ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by SimpliNav, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the NoteSnap GPS mobile application ("App").

2. Information Collection and Use

a. Precise Geolocation Data (GPS)

• Data Collected: Latitude, longitude, altitude, compass bearing, and location accuracy.
• Active Session Location: Location data is accessed while using the App and during active surveying sessions to record real-time GPS track points, stamp geotags onto captured photos/videos, and calculate survey area and distance measurements.
• Purpose: Location data is used strictly to stamp geotag overlays onto captured photos and videos, render survey paths and area polygons on field maps, and generate user-requested survey exports (PDF, JPG, KML, CSV, GeoJSON, GPX).
• Storage: All location data is stored 100% locally on your device in the App's private database. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or store your location data on any external servers.

b. Camera and Microphone Access

• Data Collected: Captured photos, recorded video frames, and ambient audio recorded during video shooting.
• Purpose: Used solely to take geotagged photos and record videos with live information stamps.
• Storage: Saved directly to your device's local photo gallery and internal app storage.

c. Address Reverse Geocoding

The App uses Android's native system Geocoder to convert GPS coordinates into human-readable street addresses on-device. No personal identifiers or account details are attached to geocoding requests.

d. Notifications

NoteSnap GPS shows a persistent notification while a video recording is running in the background, as required by Android to keep the camera, microphone, and location active during recording. This notification is generated entirely on-device, contains no personal data, and is never used for marketing or remote alerts.

3. Third-Party Services & SDKs

The App integrates the following third-party software SDK for map rendering:

• Google Maps SDK / Google Maps Platform: Used to render interactive field survey maps and satellite layers. The use of map features is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

The App does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, analytics tracking (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel), or user tracking beacons.

4. Data Storage, Security & Retention

• On-Device Storage: All user notes, survey logs, map tracks, land area measurements, and captured photos remain strictly on your local device hardware.
• No External Cloud Databases: We do not host remote user accounts or cloud databases containing your survey content.
• Data Retention: Your data remains stored on your device for as long as you choose to keep the App installed.

5. Data Sharing and Exporting

• We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties.
• User-Initiated Sharing: You have complete control to export or share your survey files (PDF, JPG, KML, CSV, GeoJSON, GPX, Photos) via Android's native system Share Sheet to destination applications of your choice (e.g. Email, Google Drive, WhatsApp).

6. User Data Rights & Data Deletion

Because NoteSnap GPS stores all data locally on your device:

• Data Deletion: You can delete individual photos, notes, or survey track sessions at any time directly within the App interface.
• Full Data Erasure: Uninstalling the App permanently and immediately deletes all locally stored app databases, tracks, and settings from your device.
• Account Deletion: Since no online accounts are created or required to use NoteSnap GPS, there are no remote server accounts to delete.

7. Children's Privacy

NoteSnap GPS is not intended for or directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to remove it.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
